Blade and Sword is effectively Diablo in China with heavy emphasis on fighting and martial arts. The game?s story is lost a bit in translation, but overall you are given a very entertaining gaming experience that resembles Diablo and Street Fighter and adds new elements to both genres in the process of tying them together. Unfortunately the game lack some role playing staples that are going to be hard for RPG fans to accept.

The game?s premise is an oldie but goodie. An evil wizard named Wen has opened up portals in to the world of beasts, men, and demons which causes havoc and opens the way for thousands of evil doers to enter the world. Enter your character. You can select from three unique characters to begin the game, figure out how to stop the madness and the evil wizard Wen. All at the same time as you slaughter thousands of enemies throughout the games 40 levels which are spread across 3 chapters.
Blade and Sword takes place in ancient China and heavy use of martial arts, special moves, and combos. The three characters range in agility, strength and diversity. One character is very agile and quick and features a dual weapon attack. Another is stronger, yet less agile and uses a broad sword. The third is the strongest and least agile and sports a giant blade.
Skill points are awarded and allocated along a skill tree as in most RPGs. There aren?t as many options here and you?ll have all the skills completed at the end of the game. Skills can result in special moves, which then can be used together with other special moves to make some spectacular and dangerous combo attacks.
